Yes it does. I had one on my 04. If you get the 03 slave though, I would go ahead and spring for the extra $15 for the hose as the AP2 hose is a little longer.

From all the threads I've read, I've seen more burned out clutches on modified AP2 slaves than on just AP1 swaps. Not a ton or anything but it might still happen. I modified my current slave as soon as I got the car. Still got bad slipping around 15k miles. Switched to an ACT pressure plate after that. If I had to do it over again, I'd just get the 03 slave and line to be sure.

i modded my 05 and it's better. but certainly not there yet. i think the 03 slave and line would be better.

and the 03 slave does fit with the 04 line, you just need to trim the little alignment pin on the line.

How do you go about trimming the alignment pin, Dremel?Do you have a pic of the area to be trimmed so I am sure what you are talking about.

The hose needs to be for the 04 not the 03 correct.

Thanks Swiftoy

Wow, I think spending the time grinding off the pin on the pre-04 slave would be much more time consuming than simply popping out the valve on the 04+. With a properly angled mechanic's pick it takes all of about five minutes to pop off the ring, pull out the valve and then reinsert the plug and ring. With the valve removed from the 04+ slave, I don't see any reason why there should be a difference in clamping speed/force between the two really...

the little pin right next to the screw covered in that blue stuff.

and the best way i found to remove the 05 delay valve in my car was with a fishing hook. i took some pliars, and bent the tip of it out a little.

then if you look very carefully inside the slave you see that the little c clip has a flat end, and a wedged end. my fish hook fit right into the wedge and i just pulled it gently. before that i was yanking hard with a dental pic, and it broke.

Exactly. It really doesn't require much force. It's just a little wire circlip (not really a snap ring which means snap ring pliers do no good). You just need something fairly sharp with a little crook so you can get under the end of the ring, gently pry it up and work your way around under it a ways until it pops free.
