Default CHP's comment about the S2000

In my area, CHP often assist the local police on major streets near the freeway. As I was nearing a stoplight a motorcycle CHP shot out in front of me to pull behind a guy who was speeding. The car he pulled behind stopped behind a couple other cars at a red light so the CHP stayed behind him with his lights on, waiting for the light to turn green and pull him over. I proceeded to move over to the lane just to the right of the officer and as traffic was stopped I happened to stop right next to him. I was sitting there, top down whistling along with some tune on the radio when I heard something so I looked to my left and the cop said hey! I thought, great he is going to yell at me for having my music up too loud. I hit mute and I say "yeah?". He then asks me, "Is that the new Mercedes?" I kinda chuckle and say, "No, actually it is a Honda." He says, "Really? It looks really expensive." "Nope, about 1/3 the price of the Benz." With a bit of a smirk he ask's, "Is it fast?" "Not that I would know...but it will blow the doors off the Benz." He laughs and says, "I really like it, very nice looking and very expensive looking."

About that time the light turns green and he follows the guy in front of him and pulls him over. I had to chuckle at how casual this guy was about the whole thing. Here he is, in the process of pulling someone over for speeding and he is just carrying on this conversation with me, even asking me how fast the car is....

Cool story. Some cops are funny like that. I had one stop me as I was walking away from mine after parking. We got into a 15 minute conversation about it and his pride-and-joy - a Mustang Cobra (with some special factory paint job). It's pretty cool to find fans in the oddest places.

Every chp that has pulled me over has wanted to talk about my car.

Only 1 chp has ticketed me and he was in the first 2 months I had the car.

A month or so ago I was pulled over by the LA County Sheriff and ticketed for no front license plate. Both of the Depuities kept asking me what type of car this was. Even the ticket didn't show a model, but they sure liked the S2K. When I went to the local police to have the ticket signed off the 60 year old officer said " That sucks, such a great looking car and you have to put a front plate on it" He knew all the spec's on the car. He owns a Ford Lightning and asked if I ever bring the car to the track.

Bottom line not all cops are bad, only those that give you tickets for stupid things like no front plate!

You should have asked him for his card, so the next time you're stopped you could drop his name to the cop who stops you. MIght do you absolutely no good, but then again, it might.

When I was pulled over 2 weeks ago. The Pasadena police officer's comment was: It's a very nice little rocket you got there, just have ease off the gas.......When you accelerated, your exhaust even scared me when I am 3 cars behind you. My repond: I was still in first gear when you clocked me >_< Please let me go? *sad puppy face* He just laughed and got in his car...

Does anyone here know where I can write off my exhaust ticket without taking it off?

hehehe
