I don't think the thieves we're that smooth.

They probably could have taken the doors quite easily too..
Ya figure suspension parts can get a good amount of money.
Oh well, I'm not a thief so I couldn't tell you what was running through their head.
But track that vin, honda puts it on a lot of stuff.

holy sweet jesus that is awful. I am so sorry cannonbear.
something tells me that having a fuel cut-off valve would have done no good in this case. does anybody else think that they just put this on a flatbed and drove off with it?
pretty amazingly bold of them to have done so if that is the case, considering how long it would take to load it up. but if they did somehow hot-wire it, that's the only scenario wherein a fuel cut-off would help.
personally, I'd be so furious that I'd post a HUGE award for anybody who comes forward with any information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever did this. like thousands of dollars. it'd be worth it.

OMG...they found your car. I feel so badly for you. I think I would rather not have seen it like that. I hope this won't discourage you from getting another one, but I can understand why you are hesitant. Good luck! After you posted your original thread about it being stolen, I started another thread on whether car alarms really discourage thieves or not. Here it is, for what it is worth:
