wow i guess the S realy does lack a decent amount of torque... my Z had no problem chirping 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd... friend's got an aps TT Z, he can do burnouts at 60mph on 3rd w/o clutch dumping, now that's always fun to watch

I've chirped around 60mph by power-shifting into 3rd. However, I would suggest this probably isn't the way you want to gamble with your car's wellbeing.

I owned a Z as well. Your talking about a 300hp V6 vs. a 2 or 2.2 200hp inline 4. No wonder the Z has more torque.
The Z's main problem is that it is a fat pig of a car with very few ways to reduce weight. Hints why I have already sold my 06 GT that I bought last year.

Some how I managed to do it at a drag strip. Horrible horrible strip though. Couldn't hook for anything. It was way more slick than the street.

I thought the S2000 had 240hp, an actually, I'd say the AP2's should have been rated at 250hp. There are so many variables associated with "chirping" tires. Air pressure, tempature, compound, etc. I'm happier that my car just happens to hook up on most shifts. You know chirping the tires is a sign that your not hooking up and in fact are slower than a car that does? But you do get mad tyte 2F2F points!!! I suggest putting on a set of all season 195 tires at 50psi, I have a feeling you'll chirp 4th gear and be the coolest kid in school!

I don't see the part where he's an idiot. He did what he did because... I guess... he could.

And the part about losing control and hitting a wall... Well, he didn't chirp the tires and was all over the place. He chirped it for half a second and went on. He was well in control.

Is there a way to achieve this and still be in control?
