Default chirping second

Just wondering if everyone else chirps second. Ive read that many s2k owners havent been able to do it especially in ap2s because of the CDV. My tires have alot of thread on them and i did it the other night after a 20 min drive so they were pretty warmed up. Am i banging gears too hard if im still able to do this? The car is bone stock. When i did it they chirped pretty hard and then AVS kicked in.

It's not bad for your car as long as your shifting properly.
A lot of the times when people chirp or bark a gear as a country boy would say
It means you shift slow.

For example I recently drove a 09 m3 and when I drove it I didn't chirp any gear.
My friend drove it an he chirped 2-3 while shifting pretty slow.

nope no powershifting. my shifting is pretty fast or at least ive been told lol. My clutch engagement point was kinda low when i did this. I prefer it to be a little higher so i raised it today. Gonna see if i can do it with the changed point

I usually judge chirping as quick shifting. Will if you pop the clutch and jump on the gas quick enough I'd assume it would chirp. It usually does when I go from first to second quick enough.

Tires play a big factor in this--stickier tires = less likelihood of this happening.

Agreed, and outside temperature has a role. In colder temps traction goes down, which is why few people take their cars to the strip in cold weather.

tires and cold weather definitely plays a role. for example, the other night was about 36 degrees and i went open WOT in first gear and lost traction VSA was kicking in and my car was in a straight line drift. im pretty sure i could chirp third if i wanted to. but on a hot summer's day with an hour of driving on my RS-3, im pretty sure second would be pretty hard to chirp. but my evo v12 would chirp in second and third no matter what temperature.

You have VSA on, there is your problem. I turn it off, and it doesnt do it anymore. That is my finding anyways.
