Just curious if it's cheaper to get it re-coat or just paint it with color (thinking of gun metalic). The clear coat is peeling and it looks ugly, just like when you spend too much time on the beach and your skin burns and change to new skin.

Since money is pretty tight now, what is the cheapest route to make the OEM wheel look good? Repaint or re-coat?

I am thinking of DIY too, but if it takes too much work and time, then I rather have a shop do it for me.

Powdercoating.!

 

powdercoating is stronger and will be more resistant to corosion and chips. You can have it coated in any custom color.. look around you should be able to get it done for $50-60 per wheel

 

is that estimate only for powdercoat the face of the wheel? or the whole wheel?
