Default Which is cheaper to insure?

Between the CR and base s2k. I mean, the CR has a hardtop but the base only has a soft-top, seen as more safe etc. etc.

Enlighten me please

thats a hard guess! it depends where u live and all other info! I got friends that pay 85 bucks a month all the way up to 200 bucks. The cr will be around the same price to insure.

Must be different in the US. They didn't even ask me if I had a hardtop or a convertible.

It's really not very hard to get into an S with a hardtop. The only issue is the cost of replacement of the soft top fabric if it is cut. Either car is simple to break in to.

ICBC knows that it's a convertible and you don't get additional discounts with a HT in BC (that I know of anyways).

The hardtop isn't a safety factor....it provides zero structural support. That piece of aluminum will buckle about as easily as the softtop when the car is turned upside down.

id said the cr would be more cause its a "club racer" therefore more dangerous than the base model.
