changing to synthetic oil....
need some advice on changing to synthetic oil
the car has around 21000 kms which is 13,048 miles right now
I am wondering if it's too late to change to synthetic oil?
I know you are not suppose to use synthetic oil too early...

It's not too late, but if you're going to go full synthetic, you may want to completely flush your old oil from your engine first. This may not be necessary, but it's just something for the peace of mind. (For me at least)

You're fine to change now. The only time you don't want to change to synthetic (after the intial break-in) is if your engine has significant leaks. Synthetic oil will tend to find its way out those leaks faster. And since synthetic and non-synthetic oil is compatible with each other in an engine (assumming you have the same API rating), flushing is unnecessary. But if you're going to lose sleep over it, then flush it 7 times, as mathematically, this is how many times it takes to make what's left statistically insignificant. Oh, and one more time:

took my car to the dealer to have them put synthetic in it... they told me that it should have at least 12,000 miles to go synthetic(mine has 11,000). cant find any info in the service manual about this- strange to me that the dealer is turning away money!
