changing soft top
At the moment I have a big hole in my soft top as someone tried to steal my s2 last week. Luckily that was the only damage and they were not able to take the car. I have a '00 model with the plastic back window but I would like to replace it with the soft top that has the glass window w/defroster.
Has anyone does this before? I've heard yes but it is a difficult task and also the wiring is complicated since the '00 were not equipped with the extra parts. I have to order the roof today or tomorrow from Honda so I would like to know if I should just stick with the original -plastic which I hate! or if I can go for the glass and pay more to get it done.
Thx.

Order a robbins top glass rear window upgrade. The install takes a full day, but no new wiring or anything like that...just replace and move a couple of straps, and swap the tops. I've done it. PM me if you have any questions.
BTW I got my top off ebay from cabrioworld.

Don't mean to ask again. I know it's probably been asked but I had no time to search. Thanks for some responses and the link. I'm not going to attempt to do it on my own.

A lot of Atlanta locals had a top day and ordered Robbin's tops from this supplier: http://www.topsonline.com/
We got a deal of $450 shipped for the tops with the glass window. All of them were upgrading from the plastic. If you just get the glass, you don't have to do any wiring. They do have a defrost option though for $170 extra I think but it should include all the wiring and instructions. They fit nice and look OEM.

BTW I'm not replacing just the glass. I need a whole new roof as it was cut! From the link I think it's just about replacing the glass.
