After driving my '04 S2k for a while and jumping into my friend's '01, the '01 driver's seat felt more comfortable. A bit lower and a bit cushier. My AP2 seat is rock hard.

I chalked up the difference to age and wear, but then I found a comment in this thread stating the seats changed in '02:

Can anyone confirm or deny the seat bottoms changed? Hate to say it but the particular AP1 I drove was more comfortable than my AP2.

I know the seat material changed in '06...
