change my ECU?
I am thinking of change my stock ECU with spoon sports ECU or with Backyard's ECU.The spoon change my vtec point from 6,000 rpm to 5,900 and the rev limiter is to 9,000. The backyard to 5,700 up is going to 9,200, which one is going to give more bhp and more torque and be more reliable.Do you thing that it worth's doing the change?

Here maybe this will help you a little.
First off I believe that the rev limit on a stock ECU is 9150 and not 9000 rpms. Also are Vtec kicks in at 5800 instead of 6000.
Yes changing the ECU does give you different Vtec engagement points and it will also increase you red line limit.
It also will change the way your air and fuel are mixed... along with the timing..... or so I believe and more (look into to it).
An idea for you would be to get a Vfac controller instead of an ECU.
This way you could still change your Vtec engagement point. Also you would be able to control fuel and air mix to make the engine run richer or leaner.....That way you can tune your car to your modfications as you build your car up.
On the other hand if you want a pre-tune ECU to make things easier then it is not a bad idea.
I believe that all of what I have said to be true to some extent. Please correct me If I am wrong.. It happens from time to time
