That was my guess, Me and a friend were out really getting on the car, but we were in some real twisty roads,so the brakes were warmd up I guess. When we got to another freinds house I parked in his driveway(20 degree incline maybe) got out and went inside. My freind yells acorss the house like 20 mins later. "Yo Pete, why did you park in the middle of the street?" lol lucky nothing bad happend, people were just driving around it. Ever since when ever im on an incline I really yank on the ebrake.
Please tell me you're reading this thread and not just posting in it...

We were at a big track day a couple years back at Mosport Internation Speedway (East of Toronto) and after a lapping session one kid parked in pit row and pulled the ebrake. Soon as his brakes cooled, the slight incline sent the car rolling into an real nice car in front of it. I think one of them was an RX7 but I can't recall.

Definitely caused some damage but the owners were cool about it.

Now I always park in gear! The remote start options for manual tranny's just aren't a great option unless you are on a dead flat surface, and have let the brakes cool like crazy.

the best way is to take a wheel off so it can't roll at all..

..JK

mine rolled down the driveway last yr and almost side swiped my other car on the street.. my sister inlaw came home and asked why my car was in the middle of the street.. I was like WTF?? went out and there it was, in the street.. The lesson in this, PUT CAR IN GEAR AND USE E BRAKE AT THE SAME TIME WHEN ON A SLOPE...

The S2000's handbrake merely suggests the car stay in place.

Parking Tips

If the vehicle if facing uphill, turn the front wheels away from the curb, and put the transmission in first gear.

If the vehicle is facing downhill, turn the front wheels toward the curb, and put the transmission in reverse gear.

This may have more to do with Honda trying to idiotproof human behavior rather than mechanically holding the car in place.

Think about what happens in each of those gears if you "forget" that you left the car in gear....
