center console help
can any help me with the removal of the 05 center console because i am going to do a swap black for tan and i need everything there is to know about removing it...i tried to have my body shop do it but they said it was impossible because it goes under the dashboard...please help....pictures would be nice as well

For AP2:
Remove the shift knob and cover the radio door, or you might risk scratching it.
Yank out the entire center console (plastic part) from the front near the shifter using your hand. Just pull really hard, because the whole plastic part (from shift-boot, to cup holder to the arm rest) is held down using metal clips. Put the plastic console aside.
Then there are then plastic clips on the side of the leather trim. Just pop those out using interior trim removal tools. Loosen up the "secret compartment and the glove box by removing all the screws. There is one screw in the middle inside the glove compartment -- don't forget that one. Other ones are pretty easy to find.
Remove the radio door.
Then you should be able to take out the leather trim ...
If you are swapping interior, you would also need to remove the panel that's held down by the plastic hooks right behind the seats, because you need to access the leather padding underneath.
