Actually real study have shown that there is no evidence that talking on the cell phone causes more accidents. On the other hands, the same study shows that eating, reading newspaper and applying makeup while driving were some of the top cause of accidents. go figure.
Probably the one funded by Sprint.

i've tried at least 15 different headsets and this one's easily the best. It's huge and expensive, but the noise and wind cancelling technology is unreal.

do what I do. if you absolutely have to take the call, put the windows up. it helps. also, the quality of your phone will determine whether or not you can use it with the top down.
if nothing else, screw em, they can wait til you're done enjoying your drive.
As long as you aren't at freeway speeds. I find that even the windows up sucks on the freeway.
Or maybe my cellphone or hearing sucks.

Its illegal here in NY to talk on your cellphone and drive (without a hand's free) so I don't have your problem really. If I were to drive with the top down and talk on my cell it would just be begging for an expensive ticket . You can always go with a bluetooth kit if your phone supports it.
