Great stuff, guys! All of Dave's quotes from the mags are even more eye-popping when you realize that these guys never got a dime from Honda for any S2000 ad copy... Which I think is quite a different story from, say, the Z...

Anyway, rock on, guys. The mags have said what they're gonna say. It's up to us to continue to carry the faith forward! I can almost guarantee you that in a few years you'll see one of those used-car reviews in C&D and R&T for our baby... I'm sure it'll be glowing.

Charlie

Why would there be a used car review for the S? None of us are going to sell it!

There won't be any around!

Good thinkin', Rob! I'd have to agree with that sentiment!

I do hope the community of S owners keeps the car's value up over the next few years. The dealers may be having some trouble selling their numbers, and perhaps they've been going soft on price a bit, but I don't think that has any bearing on long-term value here... As IB said, we're driving a ready-made classic. If owners cherish the car, value retention will be automatic.

Now, if we can just stop those Z salesmen from lying like pigs...

Can't help but wonder what would have happened if the S2000 were badged an Acura...

C&D has become little more than a fish wrap. A few months ago, they literally devoted an entire issue to cross-over vehicles and SUV's which clearly points to their consumer-driven direction. I suspect in a few more months, we'll have a top speed shoot-out amongst battery-powered GREEN cars.

From what I understand, the S didn't make this years top 10 because there haven't been any changes since the previous model year. According to C&D, this disqualifies a car from competition. Although the changes to the Boxter have been minimal, it has been updated.
