Here's the paragraph on honda:
Honda will introduce its new sport utility vehicle, the Pilot, which will hit showrooms in summer 2002. The Pilot will be built off the same platform used for the Acura MDX. Honda is also expected to feature the world debut of a new concept vehicle and possibly show off a reworked version of the S2000 sports car. Detroit showgoers will see the Civic Hybrid, an ordinary-looking Civic sedan that contains a gasoline/electric hybrid powertrain. It

Pilot is going to be built along side the MDX in the Alliston Ontario Plant. As for the S2k, i think Honda should stop production of the S2K and come out with an entirely new Sports car all together....It would keep the resale value of s2K up along with helping its collecting value...my $0.02

I'm a little confused about their info on the new NSX:
Power will still come from a 290-horsepower, 3.2-liter V-6 that teams with a six-speed-manual transmission. But now the power is transmitted to the pavement via the rear wheels. This large design step into the future will be accompanied by an available 400-hp V-8 engine for the 2004 model year. The cost of the 2003 version will remain around $90,000, but once the V-8 is available ? and in light of the current world economic plunge ? the price for the V-6 could drop to around $60,000.
If memory serves me correctly, power has always been transmitted via the rear wheels.
The writer seems woefully uninformed, stating that the S2000 is Honda's first rear wheel drive automobile.

I agree that Honda should leave the s2k alone and develop a totally different model. It would be a shame to keep changing the design of their millenium car!

I believe the Pilot will be manufactured at Honda's US Plant in Alabama. This is where the MDX is now manufactured alongside the Odyssey. Also, every V-6 Honda engine is built in this plant (including the ones that are made for the new Saturn LS series ).
If the Pilot is built in Canada, I believe it will be the Canadian version of this vehicle and perhaps be used for any demand streaks.
