Good plan. I might also suggest if you have long, dry, hot spells, maybe do it an extra time during this period.

YEP! You can minimize or eliminate this problem as follows:
Apply the grease (or spray), wait 5-10 minutes for it to soak in as much as it's going to, then wipe away any excess with a clean cloth. That's why you don't need to use much.

Your welcome. Again, make bloody sure it doesn't melt a styro cup!
Oh, and another real good use for S. Spray - Twice a year, go under the car and spray all the rubber boots (drive shafts (inner and outer) and stearing rod boots and any other rubber bushings and stuff you find under there). NOT tires! I did this to a FWD Caravan and after over 12 years (and 200,000 km.), never had to replace any CV joints.

The spray I have says"safe for all rubber"on the can(made by GUNK)
