Give yourself a tip for washing your own car.
But if you are strapped for time, then it may be a good idea.
I would find a place you can trust, and let them know your business will stay. They will treat you well.

Try and strike up a conversation with them if possible. Connect with the folks because NEXT time they see you coming out of the line and ready for wrap-up, they'll treat you right (in most cases).
Think of it as knowing your bartender.
I've seen the same guys who will turn over a car in 30 seconds, spend 2 minutes on a regular, nice-tipping customer's car.
As for my own experience with the S2K, nobody washes the car but me.
