Hi there,

Just for your information I would like to point you to another thread where the matter of misfiring is being discussed.

Although initially the error code I got strongly suggested 'misfiring' it turned out to be a clogged fuel injector...

To those that have had this problem (and resolved it with injector replacement or cleaning), is your car a daily driver or does it sit extended periods in the garage?

I had the same problem this past weekend after the car had sat for a couple of weeks. Very rough idle and actually stalled on the freeway in rush hour traffic shortly after the check engine light came on. I had to keep the car from idling for the remainder of the trip. The following day, I started it up, drove for like 15 miles or so and the light went out. The scary part is that the rough idle was very similar to when one of the spark plugs had burned out and scored the inside of the piston shaft causing a misfire. When that happened the idle problem was persistant and no check engine light fired. For me, there was never a warning light when the really bad things happened. Bad cat converter and O2 sensor...same thing.
