Car and Driver

i respect that. The one thing that I think distinguishes the S2000 from everything else is its race car like feel that very few cars, especially in this price range have. It's not the fastest, and in terms of bang for buck, it's not just about speed.

I say, go with what you like. Way it looks, how it drives, etc. I could give a rats ass what a bunch of non-driving magazine editors have to say about any car. I like all three. I think the z is ugly as hell from the back, but it is still quite a piece of machinery. I like the mustang, but obviously so does every fourth driver on the road (they're everywhere). My S2000 comes in feb, and i'm not about to give my deposit to another dealer because someone else says thier car is better. If I wanted the best all around car, maybe the stang or 350Z. What I want is a race car with lights.

hahaha.. Most of us know that with equal drivers, the Mustang MACH I is a faster car than the S2000 on the drag track and on the street stoplight to stoplight. No arguing that. Just realize that that article was WAY harder on the S than it should of been. 3 in Features and Amenities? That is lame as hell.
Oh.. My WRX is hungry.. And every mustang stock except for the Cobra is it's favorite food.. Even More so on a dirt road or in the Snow..

I notice they didn't rate quality of build, in which case the Mustang would have been dead last, with all its "Quality is Job One" bits and pieces that fall off on a regular basis
In the end, who gives a damn what other people, especially self-appointed auto "journalists," think? We'll all defend what we own. I ran into some guy with a stock Cavalier the other day who insisted that it was a better car than the S2000. Why argue with such a fool? It's a waste of breath.
I've driven many stock Mustangs and many stock S2000s. Based on these experiences, I wouldn't buy a Mustang if it was the last car on the face of the earth. But the people who own them love them and think they're wonderful, so let them live in their dream world.
