If I could, I would buy an S in every color it is available in. For now I will just drive and love my Rio Yellow.
It is the ultimate car for anyone who buys a car for the love of driving. That it comes with the built in Honda reliability is just wonderful.

The decision between the S2000 and the Boxster S boils down to whether you prefer a super intense and unforgiving sports car, or a somewhat more relaxed car that has more GT leanings.

The Boxster S is the better car... if you can afford it and the matainence that comces with owning a porsche.
The Boxster will probably be remembered more becasue it's a Porsche. The 914 wasn't that great of a car, but it's remembered more than the S500.
If you can afford to spend $60,000 then get the Boxster, but if $35,000 is your limit then get the S2000. Both cars are great cars. The S2000 gives you more bang for the buck.

all this talk of maintenance???
most here put synth in their S2000's...what's a synthetic oil change cost???
my dealer charges 80 bucks.....that ain't cheap.
it's cheap-ER, but it's not head-and-shoulders cheaper.....
on the other hand, you guys in the states have it good....the boxster S is a $50K car and the S2000 is a $30K car.....
up here it's 75K and 50K repsectively.......so we don't get into the "costs-more-to maintain" arguments as much as you guys......
add a few options and 15% (yes, you read correctly) sales tax, you better have 60K in your jeans if you want an S2000 in canada.
at the CN price points, we're well above the national average price of a car (dare i say reaching marginal exclusivity), so a few bucks here or there on maintenance isn't a factor in the decision making process.......

I am trying to decide which roadster to buy, i am considering all of them, z4, z3, used boxster s, miata with aftermarket supercharger/ turbo.. but for some reason i keep coming back to this one.. is this the best roadster or not? i ask all you experienced owners to give me an honest answer. would you buy this car all over again or get some other roadster????
very , very few minimal issues , but no regrets, I love the s2000.. So much so that I'm onto my 2nd one.. I sold my '00 for an '01..
