Default Can't...bring...myself...to do it!!

I need the clutch TSB, and I ought to get the seatbelt recall, but...I am deathly afraid of Honda dealer service techs.

I read in horror about Phantom's experience, and I just can't bear it for my own car. I am not the type to feel helpless, but I really do in this case.

I know I've asked before, but who in the New York City area has done the Clutch TSB (or other TSB's) and/or the recall?

I called Honda City per Bieg's recommendation a while back, but they can't loan me a car and I can't hang around Long Island for a week. So I guess I need a loaner car, too. (That's right, not a single one of my close friends owns a car!!! Crazy, huh?)

Sunchild, you may want to PM Bieg. He has recommended Honda City of Levittown and specifically Charles Ryder as the mechanic on previous posts.

I just spoke to Charles the other day and was asking him why he thought so many people were having problems with the Transmission TSB work. He said it was not something that just any guy working at the dealership should be messing with due to the exacting set up that must be done. For example Only he and one other tech at Honda City are qualified to do this service. He said you need to remember that this is the first conventional rear wheel drive transmission that any Honda tech has ever seen.

He also told me that Honda City gets the work that other shops have screwed up because they are who the regional rep sends the car to after they get complaints.

I have not had problem 1 since he did the work on my car. Remember ONLY ask for Charles Ryder to do the work.
