Default Cancelling my M3 order and keeping my S

I'm cancelling my order for my Mystic Blue M3 today and going to keep my S2000. It kills me to do this but there are several factors which I won't get into. The biggest one being that the S2000 is soooo much fun, I scared of loosing the frantic F1 personality of the car that I've fallen in love with. I can afford to get the M but I'm just going to use my down payment to pay off the rest of my Honda. I really love the M3 but for sheer excitement you can't beat the Honda. Also, all my commuting is back roads (the M3 would be kinda overkill)

To everyone who made switch, good luck with your M3's and please keep the board up to date with S2000 comparisons as they become available.

there's no right or wrong decision, just depends on what you're looking for in a car.

i wouldn't mind having an M3, and sometimes i think about selling the S2000 and the RX-7 and getting an M3.

but in the end i want a sports car. the m3, as great as it is, is not a sports car. i think that zagat guy said it the best...to paraphrase

i will only write a guide for something i have a a passion for. so i will not write a guide for cars, but i will write one for sports cars.

I felt the same about trading in my S for a M3. My wife and I finally took the S in yesterday for an apprisal. As soon as they drove off with the S for a test drive, she was starting to have second thoughts about trading in the S. After talking with her at the dealer, we ended up not trading in the S. We decided to keep it, even though we have a new baby on the way.

Boy did I miss the S even just for those few minutes the Manager/mechanic took it for a test drive. Felt like a part of me was gone.
