Can you feel the difference in torque?

That video compared the AP1 and AP2 chassis with the same F20c engine, and found the AP2 chassis better, if you watch it. Lap times were one second faster on a ~70 second course with the AP2 chassis and revised powertrain. In the video the racers comment on how the AP2 allows faster corner entry speeds and allows getting on the gas sooner. When they swapped the AP2 and AP1 tires, they found the AP1 improved .5 sec and the AP2 slowed by as much, so you can assume the tires, combined with the revised suspension and stiffer chassis account for the increased performance with an identical engine.
In any case, it doesn't apply here in North America, we got a different engine as well. People tend to oversimplify the two cars - they are very similar but they are different as well.

The OP isn't asking about whether the S2000 is a torque monster but whether or not you can feel the differences in how the two versions of the car drive, and the answer is yes, you can feel the difference. Like twins, they may be almost identical, but they do have different behaviors.
