This is the best winter car I've ever owned (not counting the Jeep). It's got one of the best heaters I've seen and one the most effective block heaters I've seen. For those of us who own cars in salt ridden cities, we know how we should take care of them. Rust is not a real issue. With snow tires and a 50/50 wt. distribution, this thing goes better than any other RWD car and as good as FWD with no snow tires. You just have to learn not to drive like a moron in winter.

All performance tires should be swapped off any car when the temps dip below about 40F.
If you are careful about how you drive, and swap on a set of snow tires and maybe a bag of sand in the trunk, though I'm not convinced it is necessary, you should be alright.
Last winter sucked. We normally don't get anywhere near that much snow. I saw S2000's all winter with the stock S02's on them going without a problem, but the roads were dry.

What the heck is a block heater?
I personally park mine for the winter because I have a great little run about car. It is the donkey's on the road you have to worry about, not yourself.
If you can afford it, I would purhcase a second car.

A block heater, is that power cord that comes out of the front of some cars. You plug it in at night and it keeps your car at a decent temperature, therefore easir to start, and a lot less wear. I've known a few people with some sitty cars and they couldn't even start the car in the summer with out the block heater

Block heater is a heating element installed in your oil pan as far as I know - or is it your cooling system? Anyways, one or the other or both, it keeps the engine fluids at a reasonable temp to have faster warmup.
