I will provide all the gory details at another time -- right now I just want to find out if my ride is totaled or going to be put back together -- should know tomorrow.

I am trying to be proactive in this process and would like to identify an excellent body shop that I can have my car taken to. I have been directed to Auto Body Dimensions in Gaithersburg who claim to have put an S2000 back together. I am trying to get them to identify the owner so that I can do a quick reference check. I would obviously prefer a shop that has had experience with an S2000 (sorry to someone else!).

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

i don't live in the metro area so i can't recommend a good body shop, but i can offer you some advice. my s2k was hit just about a month ago and needed a new bumper. i called around and found a body shop that does work specifically for honda. cars that are damaged during shipping are brought to them for repair. honda then takes the repaired cars to the dealerships to sell as new. needless to say, they did a perfect job on my car. i would suggest you look for a similar type of body shop in your area that does work directly with honda. hope this helps.
