can shift with car off without clutch?
hey everyone,
this is a stupid question but i jus want make sure. are you supposed to be able to shift through the gears without the clutch with the car off? i thought i couldn't before.. but after removing and replacing the shift knob, i noticed i could... i'm jus hoping i didnt break anything when i was trying to loosen the nut under the shift knob. thanks

When non of the synchro hubs and sleeves are alligned you would not be able to get it in any gear at all IMO.
If, by chance!,a synchro hub and sleeve are alligned you would be able to get it in that particular gear without any damage.
IMO
How big is the chance that all synchro's end up being alligned after stopping the car and shutting off the engine and the complete gearbox comes to a halt?
