As far as i know .. yeah it can
from what i understand (i dont own one, so this is going off research only)... its basically a cheaper more assesable version of a EMS, but can only adjust the Fuel Curves and VTEC engagment point. myself, i'd personaly invest in a Hondata S200 first.. its not that expensive and gives ALOT more room for adjustments. but its your call

Personally I don't see the point in putting a V-AFC on a stock car. The idea of getting one is to revise the tuning to take advantage of performance modifications like intake and exhaust.. The car is already tuned fairly optimally for its current (stock) state from the factory.
It does look good though so if you want to blow a few hundred bucks why not.

If you do a search you will find quit a bit of stuff, it has been discussed before.
Some folks have seen some gains of 10+ HP. I think it's a decent mod on a NA car, considering people have purchased $1500 exhaust to gain 1-2 HP and some actually lose power.

Definitely yes.
I added a VAFC and tested the car on a dyno under the same conditions before and after. Gained about 9-10 HP and set the VTEC engagement at 5,500 RPM, which makes the car even more fun to drive than it already is.
Short of installing a higher ratio gear set, this mod provides one of the best values in performance gain.

The VAFC does improve performance but more so on the 00 and 01 than 02 and up. The 00-01 ran richer and thus you got better gains by leaning out. But, IMO with all the money you willl spend i.e. dyno, tune, and installation... you could be well on your way to gears. I had a VAFC and sold it once I got the 02 ECU and gears.

Ahh, thanks. May be in the near future they'll come out with one so that the '04 owner can have there VTEC set at 5K RPM and enjoy full 3K RPM of VTEC rush like we do, huh?
