CAI problem
AMAZING!! I just installed my AEM CAI and I love it! The sound is well worth the couple hundred bucks. I have noticed a difference from about 5600 to 8400 RPM'S in every gear.
PROBLEM: My Spoon tower brace is touching the CAI at idle and when the engine torques it hits it pretty hard. I have removed the tower brace so I don't cause any damage. Has anyone had this issue? Does anyone know of a tower brace that will fit over the CAI?
Thanks

have you tried washers on the STB to see if it will help clear? Of course I wouldnt' try more than one washer - I'd go for thickness of a washer and then see if that will clear the hood. There have been a few problems with STB's clearing CAI's - so don't feel alone in this department. I can't remember who - but someone with a Comptech STB and a CAI (Injen or AEM) made a spacer to raise it up a hair so it would clear. Might want to try searching to find this one. I believe there were pics too.

That might've been 9000RPM that made those washers. They raised the STB just enough to clear the CAI, and still be low enough to fit under the hood.
