Also, fwiw, air conditioning ≠ air cooling. It cools the air but it also pulls humidity out, so if you have it on hot, it will blow hot and dry the air out.

I consider defrost different from defog. For me, defrost is putting hot air on the windshield to melt frozen crud on the outside. Defog is putting dehumidified air (of any temp) on the windshield to remove water vapor from the inside and lower the dewpoint of the air in the cabin.
