Buzzing Noise Around 3k RPM?
I have an 02 S2000 and around 3000 RPM for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear, there is a buzzing noise. ANybody else have this problem? Is it normal? Btw, this is with the top up. I haven't noticed if this happened when i got the car or not because i never drove it with the top up until my girlfriend wanted to tonight. Normal? Thanks.

Definitely check the library. I had the same problem mainly at decelleration at around 3-4K. They replaced the clutch disk and the car sounded and drove much better. I still hear some "things" from time to time and don't know what to make of it. Might just be the car? I went so far as to make the service manager drive with me one day and he said that's just the car. Things like air flow through the heads or something. I'm not a mechanical guy so I don't have a clue. Car does feel better now and I can chirp between 1+2 and 2+3 regularly. LOVE THAT CAR!!!! Take it in though to be safe. At least you'll go on log as bringing it to their attention if something pops up later.

Definitely a good idea. I've read about other guys trying to get things fixed after the fact and the dealership basically says tough, you've ragged the car so it's driver abuse. Granted, that's easy to do in these cars because they're so much fun. Me on the other hand drive like a grandma most of the time, car stays garaged at home and the office, washed at least weekly and detailed at least every 4-6 weeks. Pampered? That would be a big YES.
Take it in. They'll log it in the books as at least the owner says this and that even if they don't find something. If it keeps up you keep bringing it up. Chances are just better but not for sure that they'll take care of it in the end.
It's probably nothing but if you would, please PM me to let me know what happens. Like I said, I have some sounds that I don't think are totally right sometimes but the service guy says I'm in the clear. The more input I get from other owners the more I can talk the talk with the service techs. Appreciate it. Have fun with the new toy. It is an absolute blast.
