Buying a used s2k with 3 prev owners?
Today I looked at a very clean black 07 s2k with 38k miles.. I drove the car for almost an hour and liked it very much, paint is in good condition, clean interior, and didn't notifice anything out of place.
Only thing was the carfax showed 3 prev owners, all local, no accidents or anything out of the ordinary.
Should I stay away from this car???? Dealer Is offering at $19k plus TTT.

Price seems awesome.
My 2002 had 3 owners before I got it in 2006 (3rd S2000, had 01 and 03 before it). Absolutely no problems.
I've had no problems at all. The mileage is low enough so that even if they didn't do anything other than oil changes, it's not like the car is going to have major problems. Just get a comp test done and evaluate whether it shifts well and doesn't make any noises.
Check the body panels all have the VIN sticker, too.

if the car seems taken care of then there should be no issue with having three owners. keep in mind this is a car that is very impractical for normal people (it is loud, suspension is stiff, no storage space, two seats) so there are those that buy it on impulse and can't live with it.
but to be on the safe side check all the vin etched body panels and the vin on the engine

My car had 3 owners before I got a hold of it. If anything, it's more important to check for abuse since it only takes one abusive owner to completely ruin the car. In that case I would much rather have 3 owners that take good care of their car than to have one somewhat abusive owner.

but you always have to remember once someone gets a S2k they do maintain it
and regularly does oil changes.
but once someone owns the s and has it work 80k miles they end up slacking a bit in maintenance
so more owners doesnt mean its worse but one of them could have abused it...
if it comes with warranty i say get it!

I'm the fourth owner of my car, it is in mint shape, the motor was treated well. The car you're looking at sounds like it is in great condition, I wouldn't worry about the number of owners. The law of averages means that it probably wasn't abused over the life of the vehicle.
I never fall for the two most common sales pitches on used cars - "single owner", or "lady driven" , neither ensures that the vehicle was properly maintained, you can get more information from looking at the car rather than relying on the previous owners.

Always a risk buying a used car, and the more owners, the risk could be higher. If one owner didn't change the oil much, it wasn't broken in properly, and/or one drove it really hard on the track, or on the street, launching the hell out of it, couldn't drive stick shift very well, aged clutch, ect ect. Some things you can't see long term mechanically in a used car, but like stated above the law of averages should tell you it's been maintained well enough, and the mileage is low enough to not me at much risk. You'll be fine.
