Credit union is the way to go got mine for 4% all other banks were 7-9% for used cars
yeah my bank was giving me about 7-9%. i think i will definitely go with a credit union. 2 percent isn't a big dig short term, but in the long run it would add a bit to the loan amount.

I have decided to find something a little cheaper just to keep my payment lower, unless i stumble on a great deal. I always said i'd pay for the right car. whether it's from 2000 or 2008.
If you take your time you should be able to find a nice 02-03 with under 40k for around $12k.

I've been looking for almost 3 months now. There aren't too many cars like that. At least, none that I have found with a clean history. I'd jump on a deal like that if it were local.

Are you in school? I know Kinecta Federal Credit Union is offering some type of student auto loan where they give you a great interest rate, you just need to have 20% percent upfront along with some other requirements

I got my Honda Certified 07 S2000 financed through a credit union. They gave me 4.99%. The dealership gave me 5.14%. The nice thing about buying from the dealership is that they take care of all the paperwork.

yeah i know it's a little more convenient, but they just all try to overcharge me. everyone at the dealership knows that 06 isn't worth $21,000, but they still try and swindle me. i got sick of it.
