I am thinking about buying an s2k soon, but its a toss up between a s2k or a used m3. Which one would be better?

I am just thinking that the s2k would not last on the practical scale for more than a couple of years. Small car and no trunk space. I also heard its quite noisy... but the car is great, performance is great and fun to drive...

i also spoke to the dealer and i believe that its possilbe to get it for MSRP soon, seems like they arent selling as much so they have to get rid of them, does MSRP still sound good w/ the economy shitting out? or i can bargain lower?

vdozer,

If you have the $$$ for the new M3...get the new M3!

If you are comparing a 99 M3 convertable/coupe/sedan to a S2K...they are both great performing cars and they cost almost the same now. I would say that it is all up to your commute needs and your visual preference. The S2000 is more unique, handles better and should be more reliable...but he 99 M3 is going to be alot more practical.

I just offered my local dealer, Kay Honda of Eatontown, NJ, $32,500 cash for a 2001 silver/red S2K. In spite of having 9 S2Ks in stock, he wouldn't take my offer, but would accept list of $32,740. I've never paid list for a new car in my life, and just out of principle I'm not going to start now. I was quite surprised that a dealer would walk away from a sale for the sake of $240. Go figure!
