Im sure this is posted elsewhere, but looking to buy another s2000. i have found quite a few but am concerned with price and milage. most are over the KBB, but i wouldnt do anything til they dropped it close to it. how many miles is too much?? if it is well taken care of would 120k on a 05 be too much? asking 16000? dont want to make a bad decision like i did getting my bmw. appreciate the responses. Thanks.

Or '03 with 119. Priced at 14+ but KBB is 11125 fair and suggested is 12725. If i cant get them to move to those i will not buy.

For what it's worth the KBB doesn't apply to the S2000 before.

The car has appreciated a lot lot (for obvious reasons)

Unless the car is going to be a pristine weekend only canyon carver, miles are no issue. Zero. None. Nada. 不是。

More than almost any other performance car, this car ages well regarding miles.

Yes, like any other car, if it wasn't taken care of, it can suffer. But as far as cars that, even if taken care of, can leave you with huge maintenance or repair bills, just from racking up miles, this isn't one of those.

NADA can help. The marketplace deals with what people are willing to pay. If you come across something that you really like, you may consider getting it even if you think KBB has it a little less; it may be hard to find these cars in the one you are looking for. Its like art; get what you like and the "value" be dammed.

Yup. As stated in countless prior threads, miles are just miles. It's the maintenance, care and condition of the vehicle that matter more. If you aren't qualified to assess these thing then pay for an inspection with a reputable shop/service/mechanic.

What people are willing to pay determines the pricing -- not the guide. S2000's are in demand and supply tends to be a bit short so they do tend to sell over book. You need to look at recent comparable sales (just as you would for anything) to determine what's reasonable for your market.

Worth is highly subjective. If you're looking for one on a budget then be prepared to be in the search for the long haul. It's up to you to determine where you're willing to compromise and where you're not.

Depends on the location and prices in the area really. See how much similar examples are selling for in the area. Personally, I wouldn't pay that much for that kind of mileage unless they were pristine, well-kept examples.

KBB is recently and now very accurate actually. Also, their prices and values are known to be on the high side really.

Fair price is either "Very Good" or "Excellent" or in between. Anything a couple grand higher is crackhead prices and I wouldn't pay for one higher than "Excellent" value. I've seen a couple crackhead prices every so often, and they obviously don't sell (eg: MY05 120k for $20k is def crackhead prices).

I've seen MY00-03 with 60k-75k miles sell for $13k and below (the owners told me how much the final price was). MY03 with 119k miles for $14k+ is crackhead prices.
