Burning oil???????? PLEASE HELP
I have had my MY04 for a month today and checked the oil tonight ( I have 1000 miles on her). The engine was not completely cold, but it had been sitting for about 2 hours. When I checked the oil it read only halfway up on the dipstick gauge. Is this bad....has my car burned that much oil? If so what oil should I use to top it off?

It's totally normal. The S2000 has an appetite for oil.
Top it off with standard oil (not synthetic). Add a little bit at a time (probably 1/2 quart will get you back up the dipstick). Don't overfill.
You need to keep a closer eye on your oil. Check it at every fill up.

Here's another question: is it okay to mix different brands of oil, say, half Mobile 1, half Valvoline? Both of the same SAE grade, but just different brands. Let's say I have a 3 qrts of Valvoline in there already, can I safely add the rest with Honda oil? Again, same SAE and stuff.

Mobil 1 and Valvoline are not the same type of oil. One is synthetic (Mobil 1) while the Valoline is "dino" oil. Do not change to Synthetic until you have ~ 5,000 miles on your engine. I use a "blended" oil - Castrol Synblend and have been real happy with it.
Good luck - you will love your S2000

I'm pretty certain that Mobil 1 is all synthetic. In any case, it should say so on the label. Mobil also sells non-synth.
Yela, I agree with the others... Don't mix and match, and don't switch to synth right away. At least, that's Honda's recommendation. And it's more like 10000 miles, not 5000 miles. The idea is that the engine should be fully broken in before switching over.
This point has been debated many times around here, by the way.
