You can determine bulb type when you go to buy. The stores have reference books that will give you the appropriate model # by manufacturer....

If you want a "blue-er" light to match the HIDs, consider getting these:

Your manual might be in the secret compartment, seriously.

If you like the look of your high beam, then buy what Xviper recommended. If you like to see the road better then buy the plus 50% bulbs from these: Osram Silver Star or Philips Vision Plus or Power Bulbs/Power Plus at this website: http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk
All these bulbs are brighter than standard bulb and a little whiter too, it also does not cost more than $30 a pair
I bought some bulbs from them last year and had no problems at all.

Go to a NAPA. Part number BP1255H1 is the standard replacement bulb. It's $6. Part number BP1255H1BK is the LazerBlue. It's $9. It has the bluish hue that looks similar to a HID.

I switched my H1 Highbeam to MCulloch H1 6000K Hi beam. Looks real nice, and it's not too blue. Bright as hell though - so I don't recommend flashing anyone.
