Default broke my wind screen

I recently installed Rick's 7/8 aero screen and the bumpers. I left the screen so that the glue for the bumpers would be set. then today, with the gorgeous weather, I forgot that the screen was down and lower the top and broke the screen in 3 pieces. I assume that the screen can't be fixed but if I buy another screen, will I have problem of taking the base apart since I used a lot of super glue? Has anybody taken it apart and glue it back together successfully? I am hoping that I don't have to buy another OEM windscreen to take apart.

I also installed a kill switch after a similar episode happened. I had no problems taking the base apart. Actually it was easier than before. Maybe technique, maybe experience, maybe humidity.

here is the link https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=97670

one difference, I used a micro momemtary switch from radio shack. even when looking for it you can barely find it.

Also, I did have success gluing the broken screen back together with superglue. Ugly and absolutely will NOT attest to its structural integrity.

Ricks screens are larger than the oem and when its down the it be collected by the roof it as you lower it.

As to why it was down Id guess that Calvin's was down for installation. Other than that I have only lowered mine once as an attempt to increase turbulence on a hot day.

yea. mine was down to install the anti-vibration bumpers. I did not drive it for few days and lowered the top with the screen down.
