Where are you going ? Shanghai ? Shanghai's road condition are excellent. I have benn there once and I really want to have my car there so that I can race on highway
I think the gasoline is good in Shanghai cuz there are so many 760iL, SL500/600 and S500/600 so I don't think there will be a problem.
Thanks
Ben

Seriously where are you going exactly? Beijing and Shanghai you will have no problems. Getting replacement parts in mainland China might be alittle difficult but you will definitely be able to get them from Hong Kong. There is a good size s2000 club in HK and tuning shops that specialize in the s2000. I assume that you or your family has a decent amount of money since this is even an issue. So if money really isn't a factor, and you stay in the big cities you shouldn't have any problems. Traffic is traffic but you learn to live with it.

i think its too much money and complication involved to bring the car over and maintaining it there.
but then, if money is not a problem, go right ahead.
MONEY=Sovles MOST OF THE THINGS.

im actually goin to Shenzhen (i dont really like that city, i'd rather stay in beijing or shanghai......but i dont have a choice), itz a city close to hongkong.....
im aware the fact that i wont be able to enjoy the S as much as here.....but i just dont want to waste alot of money buy a crapy car there.........since i like the S so much......i figure y not just bring it back......
rite now......im pretty much decided to bring the car back......then i have to find reputable shops and good gas station there.......
thanx again for the inputs..........im gonna find out more info about how to ship it back......(i just heard that china has a new policy of not allowing people to bring used cars.........so im gonna find out all the procedures)

^^^ Well, in that case, here's a thought. Station your car in Hong Kong, and you can go out to HK and drive it on weekends. As others have mentioned, there is a good size S2000 club in HK and there is no problem with either gas, roads, or service in HK. Good luck.

Shenzhen is a pretty remarkable place with a ton of companies making high quality products and undercutting everyone else in the world in price. This place is going to grow sky high.
I can't say I like being in Shenzhen, but the one redeeming thing about it is its proximity to HK. The traffic, pollution, aesthetics, construction, have a lot to be desired. But at least you can drive the car year round.
Well, next time I'm there, I'll keep my eye open for the S. And if you ever go by Foxconn, the Crowne Plaza, or LH, give a hollar!

you guys are all too crazy, I'll be too worried about being car jacked or getting the car stolen, where would I park it for one thing?. A car spot in HK is 5 figures or more a year. Another thing is everyone would be looking at you wanting to roll your arse...
