Default Bright Headlights

I'm new to this forum (luv it already) so if this was covered plz forgive me

I am getting people regularly flashing their high beams at me b/c they think mine are on...of course they are just the super cool high intensity lights. This has caused a few "road rage" type incidents when people have gotten behind me (after I passed them ) and they blast me with their high beams.

Is anyone else having this "problem" or are my headlights maybe out of alignment (i didn't see an adjustment)

Thanks in advance for your help

no, they're just jealous that you have such a nice set of HID lights

if i get the flash i'd flash them back and show them that my high beams weren't on.

This is a pretty common occurance to us pesky bright headlight having s2000 owners. Do a serch on HID (high intensity discharge headlights) and you will find quite a few past discussions.

I usually get the high beam flash from elderly drivers (65+)... there are enough BMW's, Mercedes, and Audi's driving around for people to get used to them by now.

For our 2000, I simply adjusted the lights a few degrees lower to stop people from 'flashing' me. The 2001 has never had the problem and I don't recall ever being flashed by anyone in the 10,000 miles we've had this car.

Thx for the replies

mingster- I do like giving them the REAL high beams when flashed

Colin - mine is an '01 and for some reason I get flashed pretty much on a nightly basis...especially on two lane roads.....I have yet to get a service manual for the car...is there a simple screw/adjustment for the light to turn them down a couple degrees?

thx again
