Cool, I sooooo want the blue Dash Kit, I read a little bit on the kits, and I see people ordering kits from Randy. I don't know how to PM some one. Don't know if he is still selling the kits or not. How do I go about getting ahold of one. how much do they cost. Any help from you guys would be awesome. Thanks

P.S. Wingman, do you have any pics of your dash at night? if so, could you email me them. Thanks again.

Since this is somewhat off topic, I'll be brief...

I would be happy to supply the kit to whomever wants one (to change your gauges to blue, red or off-white--completely reversable to stock), either see the aforementioned group buy thread or PM me for details.

Unfortunately I can't help w/dash brightness, although you could put in brighter bulbs, brighter incandescents would increase the heat and could cause the housing to melt!

Since that is obviously chip controlled, I think you'd have to burn a new one to really get it to function as desired.

Don't they use red for a reason?

At night your pupils dialate to allow you to see better. When you take a light and shine it in your eyes your pupils contract and your vision diminishes. When you shine red light into your eyes, your pupils do not contract as much thus being the best comprimise to aid in vision at night. So by changing out your dashes and putting really bright blue lights in there you're only decreasing your ability to see at night. It does look cool, but that's about all. I'd rather be able to see the best i can at night. BMW's has been making their dashes this way for years and for a reason.
