I saw on speedvision a picture of an s2000 (amoung other cars)while they talked about these tires that are supposed to have the best grip. They are BF Goodrich "G Force KD"(I think).

They are supposed to be the only tires to do this on the street. Anyone know about these tires or how they might compare to s02s?

I caught that also, but don't know much on those Goodrich tires. I remember either R&T or C&D doing a story on heavily moded cars, and the S2K was included. I can't remember who moded the car, may have been King Motorsports. That car broke or got very close to the 1g barrier.

I believe they are standard equipment tires on the new Mustang Cobra R. It corners at 1.03g in the dry. They warn you not to run them in the rain!

Looked into the G-Force KDW this weekend. The KD is not available in stock size although they do come in 17". The KDW and KDWS are available in stock sizes. I saw no test data or reviews that would indicate they have the traction of the KD (dry) version. From everything I learned this weekend the SO2 is hard to beat. I ended up mounting some Yokahama A520s to get me through the rainy season. My SO2s were done at 13K.

How do the A520s compare to S02s on dry road? I had A520's on my old car and loved them, great wet traction...

The roads are still wet today. I plan to take my car to our "skid pad" and try out the dry traction Tuesday. I used to run A509s on my Miata and loved them. A co worker let me try A520s on his Porsche and they were good on dry and wet. Another friend is running A520s on his new Miata. Although they were pretty worn the traction was very good dry or wet. The wear is a little better than the SO2 but not a whole lot. I've been warned that they can be noisy but I can't hear a difference over all of the usual noise with the top up.
15K would be good for this tire(at half the price of the SO2). I'll let you know how they do.
