Breaking-in a new s2000
i searched the forums but haven't found anything reguarding this. sorry if this is a stupid question, but i was wondering how exactly someone would go about breaking-in their new s2000. is it, no VTEC before 600miles or no VTEC before 1000miles? or is it something like below 4000RPM before the first 1000miles? not sure exactly what the recommended amount is.
thanks in advance!!!

Don't go past 6k RPMS before 600 miles. Try to keep it easy until 1000 miles and then do whatever you want. For me, I just went all out exactly when I hit 600 miles. Muahah.

maybe the confusion has to do with metric... 1,000 km is about 620 miles i think (for break-in). so if you are using miles its about 600 of them, and if metric its about 1,000-

you know what's interesting ?? The approach to bike break-in vs S2K break-in.... I've had a few Honda sportbikes over the years and the general rule is, the harder you break them in, the more HP you'll have when then engine is "seated." I know, I know... I can hear some of you guys yelling already... anyone think about this with the S2K ?
just for anectodal comparison, my "properly" brokin-in CBR600F4 registered 101 hp when dyno'd with 3000 miles...
my buddy's exact same bike (except that he beat his from day one) registered 108 hp when he dyno'd with 3200 miles... same exact set-up... exact same bikes...
thoughts ?
