It's worth the wait. I bought my 05 a month ago and the anticipation of reaching 600 makes it all the more satisfying. Enjoy. You are going to love 6000. I almost wet myself when I did it.

Shoot, that only means i have this whole month to get 600 miles...

Since work, home and church are all in a 5 miles apart.

I got my 05 suzuka blue from nalley Honda Union City.

I test drove the car and Vtec it the first day on test drive. A week later i picked up the car. Now they tell me 600 miles? I feel guilty.... lol

I guess now its properly being broken in... I still got 420 miles to go before vtec...

its so damn hard to control myself... hehe

I do occasionally hit 5200-5400 RPM range. but not vtech.

I wonder if that will do any harm?

Me too! The dealer got in the car with me, and it was the only one on the lot. It was a Honda used car dealership. He got in and didn't put his seatbelt on, and he was just gibber jabbering along while I was ignoring him at the first stoplight coming out of the lot. I did a U-turn at the light and slammed the gas down as soon as the car straightened. He grabbed the roof beam, and said "she do got some ass to her don't she?"

Seriously haven't you guys ever heard of a road trip? I put 250 miles on my S2K the night I bought it, and I didn't leave the dealership until about 9pm. And I had done over 2000 before the end of the first week. Man I can't fathom being so excited to have a new car like this that you can't wait to take it home and park it.

people who dont break their engines in need to think about any sort of engine rebuild that you would do to a car. no matter if the engine is new from the factory, or rebuilt with all new parts, the engine has to be broken in for atleast 500 miles.

I got mine on a Saturday and by the end of the next weekend I had over 1500 miles on it.

my rule of thumb: drive the car like you plan on doing so throughout ownership.
