I waited until atleast 200miles to Vtec, then I went to redline a few times. Not every day, just two or three times to work out the entire engine. Now I'll wait until the full 600 to do any more. You need to break your vtec in too you know

If the car already has the capability to stop the engine at 6K when its cold, then why can't they just stop it from going over 6K up to 600 miles? Its obvious they stop the revs when its cold because of the damage it could do, so if breakin can hurt it also, I can't image one more check (mileage > 600 miles) on that same computer would be too much harder..
I have 636 miles on my 05 right now, and I would say that a good portion of the last 36 has been playing in VTEC (well, maybe half). I just can't stop myself....

I personally would rather trust break-in advice from the Amish than from that site.....
