Fck that.
???

That shop is already buying all of them... they're already making the prices skyrocket abroad. So you'd rather have 1 shop buy all of them? When monopoly happens, prices go up.

I'd rather have "everyone," or several people, get it for cheap (future resale value will also be lower because of the initially lower purchase price point consciousness, higher availability/supply in the future and also higher competition amongst re-sellers (in turn, marking down prices and undercutting each other) ... rather than that 1 shop trying to get every single one of them just for business, and then flipping them for $5k+.

I've owned and sold two over the ownership of my car and each time it wasn't an easy sale.

The ownership age of our car has also dropped dramatically. I don't think most of them will spend 4k on a hardtop for their 8k car.
Maybe you should have checked our WTB section. Plenty of people on there looking for them. Tops sit because they're not the easiest things to wrap, put in a box and ship. People will always pay top dollar for OEM cars and parts. Smart people that is.

If I were in the market for a hardtop I would get a Mugen. It comes with oem hardware; it's light; and is more aerodynamically efficient. The small window does suck at times, but you can get around it by installing wide angle mirrors. Also, if you ceramic coat the plexiglass window, it should be good for years to come; buff, polish, ceramic coat, repeat.

A lot of people want to buy, not many actually do.

I was on craigslist and I ran into someone selling a black oem hardtop with all hardware for 3500. I learned a new type of pain when i found out I was the second guy to call. It was sold before the end of the day. Other hardtops around my area are sold for around 4,000 with no hardware.
