Default Brakes squeeking!?

Does anyone have this problem? Almost everytime I park my S for a few minutes/hours and start driving my brakes squeek when I brake.

Any suggestions? My car only has 14,500 k on it with lots of brake left in it!

Do you mean the brakes themselves or the pedal? My pedal has developed a squeek after being parked. I haven't gotten around to troubleshooting it yet.

Brakes. I called Honda service and they mentioned that it could be weather conditions (cold), however I was experiencing this even in the summer.

Having only 14,500 K...brake service is around 24k. Perhaps I need them cleaned / serviced? If so, would this be under warranty as I experienced this since I got the car.

This doesn't surprise me. My brakes squeek too at first when it's cold out. It goes away after about the 3rd brake. My Civic brakes have never made a sound, but I don't expect the brakes on the civic to do what the brakes on the s2k does. I assume this is one of those things you live with.

Are our brakes made from Semi-Metallic or Carbon-Metallic?? Probably the reason for this???? My .02

I have the same problem. squealing gets worse when it's colder. I was told it's normal. It's still annoying.

If you guys think the screeching sound from our brakes is annoying, then obviously you haven't heard the sound Ferrari brakes make when they're cold. (As in not warmed up, not COLD cold.)

yes, mine do quite often. it really varies on the actual pad. some pads are horrificly squeaky, and some only squeak if I get hard on the brakes and then for the next few minutes they like to squeak. otherwise, on the track, once heated up they don't squeak.

but the OEM pads are just a semi organic pad.

mine do it and i have 10,000 miles. it also goes away after a little while. i think it is embarrassing when it happens and there is someone next to you. will it go away with new pads?
