Default Brakes 'grindy' - What To Look For?

My brakes seem to exhibit 'grindiness' - a roughness or something. I guess I sense it thru the pedal. Seems to improve as car warms up but doesn't disappear. What should I look for?

I have 27K on stock pads with some city driving and 2 track days, several canyons. Pads aren't worn near limit. I use my e-brake after city traffic sometimes. There's nothing like a major shimmy in the wheel or car or anything.

Thanks stookers!

Reach in and feel both sides of your rotors. May be a rotor got gouged somewhere.
