brakes and brake fluid questions...
The FAQs say to change the brake fluid after 3 years. I find that to be a long time. Is there any harm in changing it after 1 year? Is Motul 600 good for street use (with an auto cross here and there)? If not what fluid is good to use? Anyone use comptech stainless steel braided brake lines or any other braided brake lines? If so, what do you think? Oh and what about the clutch fluid?

Changing the brake/clutch fluid early is a very good idea. I agree that 3 years is far too long for this simple and cheap maintenance task, especially if you do track time. Motul is a good choice. When choosig a fluid, look for the higher boiling points and make sure the DOT spec is compatable. Bel Ray also makes some high boiling point fluids. Braided lines are also a good idea if you don't mind the costs. The thing about new lines is the bleeding after the install.

so using motul 600 for the clutch (as well as the brakes) would be a good idea or is there a better fluid?
