How long do s2000 brake pads usually last?
My brakes are starting to squeak/squeal already, and I only have 13k miles. However, this only started right after lowering the car...Would that have anything to do with it? Keep in mind I don't ride my brakes, tailgate or do any other habit that accelerates brake wear.

do they squeal when you use them or when you don't"

if they squeal on braking, it is probably dust. if they squeal all the time and stop when you brake, the pads are worn.

 

Same thing happene dto me on my '04, only it started at 1500 miles... I got my pads and rotors replaced under warranty, and no now, no more squeaks!

 

It only happens when I brake. Its just strange that it happened right after I lowered the car. I doubt the dealer would replace mine since its lowered and they could definatley say it could have caused it.

I'm going to track the car next month, should I have the brakes checked out??

 

new pads arent that expensive and if u dont wanna pay for them jus slap the old springs back on and bring it back to the dealership and see if they'll replace it under warrenty.
